You took the words right out of my HEART. This much maligned fellow is finally getting his day to speak out and I hope he lends himself to our country once again.

I am getting this whole “emerging Warren Churchill” sensation about Cheney lately. (Kind of a thrill running up my leg.)

This one's cute.

I like Cheney - a lot. I also think his wife is a great spokeswoman for the GOP.

BUT - he’s too old, he has physical problems and he is weighed down with his connection to the last administration.

We need a new face - Michelle Bachmann

38. I was thinking of Ward Churchill, but I was wrong there
google tells me Warren was the son of John, and concludes

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~volker/history/civilwar/bios/60thbiochurch.html

"From the marriage (of John and Eleanor Churchill) were born two children: Adline, born April 8, 1844, married Henry Kellogg, and died July 18, 1866; and Warren, who was a private in Company C, Sixtieth Ohio volunteer Infantry, was in sixteen battles, and died of disease contracted in the service on the 3rd day of October, 1865. Politically, Mr. Churchill is a sterling Democrat."

63. It's of a piece with their tedious flogging of Chamberlain at Munich.
Edited on Thu May-21-09 05:40 PM by burning rain
Every time the US faces an enemy, real or imagined, they're Hitler, Republican warmongers are Churchill, anyone who doesn't slobber for war is Chamberlain, and the failure to wage war would be another Munich. They're so breathtaking clueless (besides wicked and deranged) that they continue to flog the horse that died before the 2006 elections -- never mind 2008.

Yes. I like Cheney right now but let us ask. Where was he when Bush ran the country in the ground. Where was Dick on open borders? Where was Dick on bailouts? Where was Dick when Bush and his congressional cronies spent money like drunken sailors.

it’s too bad he was just the VP. He should have been president and not that compassionate democrat Bush.

If Cheney is really the best that conservatives can do, then all of “U.S. conservatism” is in much bigger trouble than even I have thought!
