To me? That's like pulling out the manufacturer of the Edsel to discuss what's wrong with the auto industry.

3. Guessing you agree with me, my friend.
Why are they getting air time at all? They both utter failures.

6. It's probably the same reason
the Vatican's edicts on birth control are given air time ..................

8. But at least that's built, somewhat anyway, on credence.
I'm Catholic, by disclaimer, TLaB.

I just don't see any reason for the VP of a shockingly failed Presidency to be given a voice. IN the Catholic Church? There are tremendous leagues of the faithful who eat that shit up.

11. Tangerine was raised Catholic -

There are still enough morans out there to eat up whatever Cheenee stirs up because they want to believe, because they're bigots who can't stand that Obama is in the White House, and because they're alarmists who still believe the Saddam Hussein was responsible for 9/11.

Don't forget - 13% of the country still approved of him when he slithered out of office ...............

4. I'm not sure, but
I'll hazard a guess here:

Because the people who produce these "news" shows are craven shit-stirrers without any sense of relevance, history, or ethics?

Just a guess...............

7. I'm just at a loss as to why Cheney, in particular, thinks he has
anything of value to say. We all know Gingrich is a media whore, but the Dark One? Could he have avoided the media less while in office?

10. I have a theory .............
And I'm not wearing a tin foil hat.

But, I honestly believe that this fat fuck is in cahoots with someone in the Middle East - Saudi Arabia comes to mind, given its link to the Carlyle Group, but I think there are others - and he is being put out there to act as the canary in the coal mine.

Cheenee knows that some kind of horrendous attack is going to take place, probably in the DC area, and when it does, he's going to be able to become, once again, the de facto President when he climbs up on top of the hill and announces, "I told you this was going to happen."

I live ten minutes from the White House, so I'm gonna be dust when the Big One comes.

But, I think that's the plan. And I'm not that nuts................

12. If you get wind of the big one?
Head south. I'm just west of Richmond and would welcome the opportunity to host you my friend.

And, more importantly. Are you going to BB's meetup in July??? I for one, would love to meet you.

16. Actually, I'm grateful to be so close -
I'll never know what hit. That's a blessing.

You are SO nice. That's a lovely invitation, and, if the possibility arises, I'll take you up on it, but I remember what 95 looked like on 9/11, so the odds are that I'd make it as far as, oh, Tyson's Corner - maybe. I'd love to meet you, too. You are one in a million, from what I've seen.

BB and I had that conversation, and I wish I could, but July is the Family Month, so these people claiming to be related to me show up and demand my presence. It's annoying as hell, but they do bring gifts, so I just go along .............

17. I never got the sense that Cheney was in with the Saudi bunch
Oh sure, he sucks up to them, but only when he realizes that that's where the real money is.

But his real passion is that of the native neocon.... AMERICAN strength, world domination, business supremacy.

And, quite frankly, I don't think any Saudi is going to stick out their neck for HIM. They see the writing on the wall, THEY read opinion polls, too.

I think this whole thing is just Darth building up his case for the inevitable trial, be it imaginary or real.

18. I hope you're right,
but Cheney's entanglement with the Bush family, and, hence, the Carlyle Group is one of long-standing and quite intimate. That's what keeps me wondering.

I hope you're right. I'll be very happy to take a bow as an utterly delusional and goofy Tangerine LaBamba when I'm proven wrong.

Let's hope ..........................

9. that's what I'm wondering too
The Bush era is over.

Why is this baldheaded bozo trying to extend it like anyone actually gives a shit besides the fucking crazies who still think Dubya walks on water and talks to God on his own personal CB radio?

13. They are very relevant
These are self admitted criminals and traitors. Instead of being investigated, tried or imprisoned, they are giving their opinions on national TV.

I think that makes them very relevant and says a lot.

19. I'm with you 100%
I can't take seriously people who have been so wrong for so long. I break with you on the Edsel, not a bad car but I'd rather have a Studebaker Hawk or Lark. You could beat on them all day with a 10 pound sledge and they'd still get you to work in to morning. I guess I'm showing my age that I actually remember Studebaker as being a premier auto manufacturer.

21. They are relevent because 1/3 of public and over 75% of $ back them and...
Edited on Thu May-21-09 09:24 PM by Badgerman
Look the money changers alone make these bastards relevant. Why on earth do you think Obama takes his economic advise from the likes of Geithner/Bernanke/Volker et puke? When 1/3 of an electorate and almost all of the money changers are behind you, you are relevant.

23. Pretty simple, really.
They're old school GOP, and old school GOP own the media (and even older school GOP own the companies that own the old school media). They're protecting their interests.
