I see the MSM dutifully repeated all the rightwing talking points
on Sottomayor. Then had Republicans talk about them. Making sure they exclude any Democrat or liberal from the discussion.
I love watching the Evening GOP News.

1. Thank you ...........
I decided today to stop watching news and even reading the news online. Right now, I'm watching re-runs of "Boston Legal," which was nothing but brilliance.

Given what happened today with Prop 8 and the Supreme Court nominee, and reading your post, I see I was lucky and made the right decision.

Life's too short for these clowns to get one more second of my attention. Even KO and Rachel.

I'm sure I'll go back, but, right now, I'm not planning on it.

Thanks for the accidental affirmation........................

2. I'm buying that full DVD set as soon as I can....
It truly is brilliant -- insightful, FACTUAL, informative, and so very, very entertaining. They had me in tears, from crying and laughing, nearly every episode.

I miss that show and the characters. :(

3. The best part about it
(as far as I'm concerned, after a 30+ year career as a lawyer) is that it more honestly portrays what the actual practice of law is really like than any of the other lawyer shows on TV - EVER. And I wrote for "Law and Order" during its first two years.

It's brilliant. Every show is a jewel. And I can't believe ION network shows three shows in a row every Tuesday, plus WGN (out of Chicago) also has shows on here and there.

Between "Boston Legal" and "House" reruns, I can avoid news for a long, long time ...............................

4. LOL....
That's the extent of my TV viewing of late as well. Reruns of "Boston Legal", old and new "House" episodes, and I throw in some "Grey's Anatomy" as my guilty pleasure. :)

Good to know it's an honest portrayal, based on your professional expertise. Makes me love the show even more.

:)

5. Here's a moment for you -
I was in partnership with two male attorneys when I first started out. Just the three of us, with not the slightest idea what we were doing, but, man, we had energy!

We took all kinds of cases, but David got the domestic -divorce - cases, because he just seemed to have a knack for them.

One day, I walked into David's office with a question or something. He was sitting behind his desk, just staring out the window. I started to say something to him, and he held up his hand, silencing me.

Then he reached down into his pants, pulled out the phone receiver, said "Uh-huh. That must have been very difficult for you. Uh-huh. Of course it was. I know. I know," and put the phone back into his pants.

Just another client, just another day.

See why I like "Boston Legal"?

8. Ha!
You just never know....

As of today, I'm in the Twilight Zone known as Facebook, and people from high school and college have found me. I'm amazed to see what these people are doing NOW, knowing what they were doing then. ;)

Time does strange things. ;)
