Recipe for GOP self-destruction: continuous Sotomayor bashing
Incredible potential for entertainment.

At this rate, RW nincompoops will be irrelevant by 2012.

1. I hope they keep bashing her, calling her
a racist, etc. The more they talk the better for us.

2. This is just a fund raising opportunity for them.
They'll fleece their base of a few dollars. They know they cannot stop the nomination.

3. I love it
They really need to alienate women and Hispanic voters. A party based on old, white, Southern men is a perfect recipe for success. At this rate they'll soon be down to SC, Mississippi, Utah and Alaska.

6. Exactly.
If they are appealing to the base, the base ain't big enough to win an election. And all this hate talk sure isn't going to draw large amounts of converts.

4. Yep. The best thing is for the dems to sit quietly and let them implode.

7. They are like clowns popping out of a Volkswagen
It's an endless parade of very meanspirited clowns.

8. Enough Rethugs will fold that Sotomayor will be confirmed, but they'll alienate lots of Latinos.
The GOP cannot win elections outside of Deep Jesusland without a decent-sized piece of the Latino vote.

But if they alienate too many Latinos with their dog-whistled racism, they will not get that piece.

Which suits me just fine.

11. They're starting to lose Jesusland, too
The registration and voting patterns are not looking good for the Republican party anywhere.

Somehow, I'm not upset by that, either.

12. I'm just hoping that they're loud enough to move TX into the blue column a few years earlier.
