Rush Limbaugh Declares that the US is a Center Left Nation
Oh happy days, happy days. Rush Limbaugh, the acknowledged leader of the Republican Party has announced the death of my least favorite conservative talking point, that our nation is a center right nation.

1. Finally we agree
The electorate stands to the left of center, the elected to the right of center.

4. MSNBC was on at work today over lunch, and it made me wonder why he's given so much attention?
I mean, I understand it may likely be in the best interests of seeing the repub party continually do themselves in, and sink like a fuckin stone, which I'm ALL for (although I'm not convinced their ilk are going away anytime soon) ... but having to endure even the briefest segments of that ghastly windbag is too much for me - I find myself asking myself, Self, who hangs on this man's every bluster, and why?

6. OK, who spiked his Oxycontin with anti-psychotic meds?
There's no rational explanation for Mush saying something that makes sense. It's gotta be a trick.

7. I think...
he is just so lost in his anger over a liberal administration enacting liberal policies and nominating liberal officials to high positions that he has absolutely no idea what he is saying anymore. Maybe he never did, but in 2009 it really blew up.

10. But, but, but, Jebba said that 'we're still a center-right country'.
This whiplash is hard to follow.

12. I'd say it is too early...
to say he is not a progressive President. Stems cells, good, Guantanamo, we'll see, Iraq, we'll see, the economy, decent so far, DADT, we'll see...

I still believe he can be one of the more progressive presidents of all time, we certainly have plenty of work to do to make him live up to his highest ideals.

believe it was somewhere in Ohio ...

survived the axe somehow ... enough of the brain stem apparently survived ...

They would feed it with a tube, and it actually would act like it was pecking at food ...

I believe that it would beat the freepturds at Jeopardy ...

Probably something to do with keeping his flock paranoid, but one can never be sure.

He is right, though...but unfortunately the pols in DC haven't got the memo yet.

20. Wait a minute, what?
Republicans need a civil rights movement? What rights have been taken away from them? They can still run for office, they just don't win as often as they did a few years ago. Which is probably what Rush means. Like all Republicans, he probably thinks that they have a God-given right to win, no matter which way people actually vote. What a bunch of self-entitled whiners.

23. That's a matter of perspective.
For Rush it certainly looks like it.

For some of us, we see the nation moving that way, but have a fair distance to go to get center left.
