News that Osama Bin Forgotten arose from an undisclosed location to spin the media at the moment President Barack Obama arrived in the Middle East, the day after a statue to the Teflon President was enshrined, brought to mind another odd juxtaposition.

Polls show that Mr Obama is far more popular in the region than Mr Bush ever was.
