The Man From Plains
I have just finished watching "Jimmy Carter: Man From Plains."

I'm not sure what to say other than Jimmy Carter is an incredible man. He has impressed me as a true and honest man and probably the greatest "Ex-President" we have seen in our lifetime. His courage and convictions are an example for us all. While I am not a religious man, I can respect his faith and commitment to his religion.

If you have not seen this documentary, you should. It is a rare opportunity to see inside a man's heart.

We would all do well to take a page from President Carter's book on seeking peace in the world.

1. He was simply the finest man in the White House
with the purest of intentions in a very long time.

2. Nominated.
I have a great deal of respect for President Carter. In many ways, I have grown to respect him more in his years since leaving office. He is an honorable man.

6. I got to meet him a few years ago.
It was at a book signing. Everyone was being shuffled past him by, I assume, the SS. I was wearing a button for someone running for the local election supervisor. He asked me if he was a good man and how were his prospect on winning. I told him not very good since he wanted to get rid of the touch screen machines. That got a laugh out of him. I told him I had a message from my step-mother that she said he was the last true christian president we have had. That got a big smile.

The thing I remember most were his eyes. They sparkled. I don't know how else to explain it.

4. I love that movie
It shows what an incredible human being Jimmy Carter is. How he reacts to situations and his relationship with the world and the people around him. I highly recommend the movie.

I have said it before but I will say it again - Jimmy Carter was underestimated when he was in the WH - He was a good, kind and gentle leader and the world could have learned a lot from him but instead he was demonized by the media.

I love Jimmy Carter.

7. Excuse my total ignorance, but can this be viewed online or rented
as a DVD? Somehow I missed hearing about this one and would like to see it.

I agree with what's been said about our most dissed and misunderstood former President. I also was able to meet him, while he was still Gov. of Georgia, and I agree about the twinkle in his eye. I think he is full of Grace.

Thanks in advance for any info about the show!

8. I saw it on "Encore"
One of the cable stations. Not sure where to see it other than that.
