Regarding North Korea ..........
I suspect we can all agree the head of the country is being intentionally provocative.

What do you think we should do about it?

(Note doing nothing is actually doing something and is a valid reply.)

1. Continue doing nothing.
Seems to be working well so far.

5. WUT?
Working well so far?

They have ramped up efforts to get attention, including threatening that if we interfere at all, that is a threat of war and they will act accordingly.

I'd say we're a long way from OK with N Korea. He's nuts, and his son is appointed to supplant him.
You can't ignore this kind of problem. It simply will not go away...

However.....giving them money or military trade secrets is NOT the answer.

3. Enforce the UN resolution, work with China to isolate them, and wait for a change in leadership.
I don't think we can ever have legitimate diplomatic talks with the current leadership in North Korea. I only hope Kim Jong Il doesn't have some end of life breakdown and decided to go to war before he dies.

4. He has annointed his son to repace him
This was a low level nooz story last week. Assumptions are that the son will follow the father.

I don't think waiting for a change in leadership will be productive.

6. We don't have many other viable option than to wait and see.
Either the North Koreans will change their leadership or others can change it for them but I'm not a big fan of the second option. If the son takes over as the leader of North Korea we should test the waters and see how open he is to diplomacy. If he's just like his father than we don't loss anything by trying.

8. If he ever actually fired a real nuke
china would turn his country into molten glass. They own a large portion of the usa and don't want their investment damaged.
