Of course, often people fight over what songs to listen to, and the crap that other people like really offends their sensibilities. Then there are other things.

"One of the greatest benefactors of all lifekind was a man who couldn't keep his mind on the job at hand.
Brilliant?
Certainly.

One of the foremost genetic engineers of his or any other generation including a number he had designed himself?
Without a doubt.

The problem was he was far too interested in things which he shouldn't be interested in, at least, as people would tell him, not NOW.

He was also, partly because of this, of a rather irritable disposition.

So when his world was threatened by terrible invaders from a distant star, who were still a fair way off but traveling fast, he Blart Versenwald III (his name was Blart Versenwald III, which is not strictly relevant, but quite interesting because - never mind, that was his name and we can talk about why it's interesting later), was sent into guarded seclusion by the masters of his race with instructions to design a breed of fanatical superwarriors to resist and vanquish the feared invaders, do it quickly, and they told him, 'Concentrate!'

So he sat by a window and looked out at a summer lawn and designed and designed and designed, but inevitably got a little distracted by things, and by the time the invaders were practically in orbit around them, had come up with a remarkable new breed of superfly that could, unaided, figure out how to fly through the open half of a half-open window, and also an off switch for children. Celebrations of these remarkable achievements seemed doomed to be short-lived because disaster was imminent as the alien ships were landing. But, astoundingly, the fearsome invaders who, like most warlike races were only on the rampage because they couldn't cope with things at home, were stunned by Versenwald's extraordinary breakthroughs, joined in the celebrations and were instantly prevailed upon to sign a wide-ranging series of trading agreements and set up a program of cultural exchanges. And, in an astonishing reversal of normal practice in the conduct of such matters, everybody concerned lived happily ever after.

There was a point to this story, but it has temporarily escaped the chronicler's mind."
"So long, and thanks for all the fish"

Now I am wondering if it is safe to dance.

15. Without conflict, there would be no need for politics...
Since political behavior is simply the interaction and conflict between people to resolve issues.

Without that fighting, there would be no need to politics, or even government.

But, the bottom line is there will always be dissenting opinions. And that will inevitably lead to someone getting killed.

But, to answer your question, I do get tired of fighting. I also get tired of politics.

18. Not fighting is more tiring...
...whether you've finally surrendered, resigned to imagined helplessness, or never given a damn in the first place. Those are weary ways through life.

So yes, sometimes tired. But it's a good kind of tired.

Hey, as long as they continue their folly, we're forced to fight.

Start making things fairer and be a little WISER for the ware. Then America wouldn't HAVE the problems that it does.

33. No,
But I do get tired of "Hoping for Change", and then having the same old crap forced down my throat.

I will continue to fight for:

*Equal Right and Equal Protections for ALL....NO exceptions

*Immediate Withdrawal of ALL American Military from the Middle East

*Reducing Military Spending by AT LEAST 50%

*Single Payer Universal Health Care. Health Care is a RIGHT, NOT a commodity

*Rule of LAW, NO exceptions for elite War Criminals

*FREE Universal Education at ALL levels for anyone who wants it

*Economic Justice where Mom & Pop and the small Farmer can compete with Big Corpo on a level playing field

*Organized LABOR and Middle Class Working Americans
(Wall Street Bankers can go bust and stand in bread lines with the rest of us.)

*Tight Public Regulation of Banking/Lending, Energy, Utilities, Transportation, Communication, Health Care

I will continue to fight against:

*"Too Big to Fail"

*The MIC

*The concentration of Wealth and Power into fewer hands

*Free Trade (the American Working Class is worth "protecting")

*Privatization of The Commons and Public responsibilities (Law Enforcement, Corrections, The Military...)

*Republican/Corporate Influence INSIDE the Democratic Party
(I am beginning to believe that this is a completely lost cause).

51. Fighting Yes!!!
Debating no. Especially if I am discussing with folks who can agree to disagree or take everything in stride. I am lucky to have friends and family of all sides of the political spectrum and none of us get to worked up about it. Heated now and then but basically just have fun with it.

I am not one to get into a "fight" screaming match to try to change somebody's mind. It doesn't work and tends to alienate more then win people over.
