1. All of your options would be catastrophic had they succeeded. I vote..
other because my choice would be all of the above. :scared:

2. The Social Security Privatization scam was a blatant attempt to prop up
the crappy paper of the banks and investment firms.

They saw what happened last fall coming in 2005, and they were blatantly trying to prop the system up. It would ahve worked, too, for about two additional years.

As it is, they never expected it to fail before right now.

because they cost a lot of people their lives.

9. hard to say - they all are such resplendent failures
I shudder to think what mess we'd be in if we had privatized SS.

And unlike Rush, et al, I generally did not want Bush to fail, although I am glad he failed to successfully implement ideas like the one above. I knew that wanting him to completely fail meant the country did so too; sadly, he seemed to fail just fine on his own.
