I don't accept Letterman's Apology
Because there shouldn't be anything he should be apologizing for. Some people need to get a thicker skin and learn to take a joke now and then.

When you parade your pregnant daughter out on the national stage and yet preach an entirely different message than what that image represents, you will be the subject of late night fodder. And so will your daughter. Palin, you've only yourself to blame, you shitacular excuse for a parent. You embarrass and outrage all of us who've strived to do the best for our kids, you narcissistic, selfish famewhore. She is the worst fucking excuse for a woman, human being and parent imaginable.

6. While I Agree With You That the Joke Wasn't Offensive...
...that doesn't mean that it wasn't offensive to others. I'm sure that Letterman is capable of making a joke that offends you, but that many other people would find hilarious. You shouldn't be so quick to dismiss the feelings of others.

12. No one would have even remembered this lame joke...
if Palin had not kept drudging it up for her own selfish gain. She really doesn't give a shit how this might be affecting her kids. That woman has a serious martyr complex.

15. No one is defending what Letterman said.
The only person in position to do that is Letterman himself - and he apologized.

And don't give me any shit about it not being a "real" apology. It's as real - or I should say more real than any apology Palin has made.

24. I could care less what you think. I'm just pointing out how lame
the statement is that "no one here is defending what he said".

There are plenty of people who think sexually ridiculing/humiliating girls and women who disagree politically with them is perfectly appropriate.

The real problem with Letterman's "jokes" was that they just weren't that funny.
Comedy/satire/humor is subjective, I know, and I don't have a problem with what he said or using that subject matter. It was just not funny.

9. Unlike Palin, Letterman was doing his job
He is a comedian and his job is to tell jokes.
It certainly seems that attention whore Palin isn't doing her job. Doesn't she have a state to run?
In addition, who is taking care of her prop...oops...I mean special needs infant? Shouldn't she be spending more time with that child?

11. Palin is doing her job too.
Distracting the public from real issues, attacking the "liberal media" & setting up to fleece the poor and the ignorant.

What? You thought her job was Governor of Alaska?

14. Governor of Alaska?
Witness the "Where's Sarah" buttons that were showing up in Juneau even before she was picked by McCain last year. She has no interest at all in being governor of Alaska. It's all a photo op and a stepping stone to her.

20. Of course you are correct.
Her VP nom gave Palin the chance to get what she's craved all her life & what her history as a beauty pageant contestant, TV reporter & small-time politician did not give her - and her GOP media-consultant crafted image as "The Hockey Mom" with her family in full display did: wealth and fame. The fact that she had to sacrifice privacy & a normal life for that family isn't part of her thought process.

10. Remember when McCain-Palin campaign insinuated Obama was a pedophile?
They had an ad that claimed Obama wanted to teach kindergarden children about anal sex or some such nonsense, when Obama actually wanted to teach kids to stay away from predators.

I guess that tactic worked so well that Palin had to drag it out again.

for making them cheap campaign props. No one forced her to drag her unmarried pregnant daughter onto the stage, along with the redneck jerk who knocked her up. She made a public spectacle out of her kids - and no one forced her to do it.
