So does Ensign have more respect for his party than the US
Senate? He should resign from the Senate.

1. This was just an "end around" he wanted to be first in the "repentant Republicans" who confess their
sins before they run for President.

Better to get it out now than have it spring up before a primary.

That severance package to the mistress is very interesting and then the husband wanted his piece of the 'hush money'.
I think this will get ugly or the Rushicans would not have made him resign.

Word is that this affair was going on for ages.

4. I was trying to be sarcastic. Obviously he is finished

Questionable if he could even take Nevada in a Presidential Race.

Interesting thing is I cannot imagine one state Obama took that would go the other way next time. Romney had a chance with Michigan until he came out against the car bail out.

Pollsters think that without McCain AZ will go blue next time.

3. He can't run for president now. He was the WORST of the
"pander to the fundies" crowd, and by having an affair he has completely lost his biggest national fans. Nevadans won't care - he'll still get re-elected, lol. But the Pentecostals will find somebody else. Hell, his Pentecostal church will probably excommunicate or expel him.
