YOu know if it was a Democrat Faux News/Limbaugh would have already called for his resignation.

2. Of course not

They didn't demand Vitter or Ensign's resignation.

3. Unlikely.
He's in his second term, and he can always re-re-rediscover religion and act as a good example for all men who have/might consider being unfaithful.

4. No
He was one of their rising stars. I think the GOP is shocked at this one and it will take them some time to recover before saying much.

5. No.
But if the SC legislature doesn't go to work on him they're stupid.

8. GOP will not
but SC voters might. They are pissed about being lied to and angry at Sanford for leaving no one at the helm.

11. I doubt it
They'll make excuses and compliment him about how hard it must have been to confess. They'll say things like, "He's a good man who did a bad thing." and "having the courage to admit it proves that."

Of course if it was a Democrat.....

12. There's talk of impeachment in the legislature; however,
there is zero chance the talking heads on the right will call for his resignation.

16. A resounding NO! Knotts, a GOPer in the legislature was accusing him of cover-ups and lying
earlier today.

And right after the Guv admitted to the affair, Knotts was back on the air, via phone, saying how much he wanted to help the Governor recover from this?!?!?!?!?! :silly:

That flip-flop makes no sense, well maybe if, well, you know.........during this slow summer news cycle those SC reporters certainly have some lookin' around to do!
