I think I called this just after the first reports of Sanford going missing. His flight had all the earmarks of "regroup, meet with the lawyers and develop a strategy before the scandal breaks."

The only thing I got wrong was that he wasn't meeting with the lawyers, he was flying down to Argentina to moisten his dipstick one more time before the shite flew.

Next up: ethics investigation about the flat-out lies his office told once they had "gotten back in touch with him". They kept lying even after a Fed Marshal spotted him at the Atlanta airport.

I have been working and moving all week, so I'm not really up on this, but it appears from what I've read that Sanford is yet another in a long list of Republican hypocritical fucks who has breached the sanctity of marriage. These people are something else. The are 'appalled' at the thought of gays getting married and yet they are doing shit most gays or straights wouldn't subscribe to.
