Arnie:Whatever happens, ‘I will sit down in my Jacuzzi tonight, I’m going to lay back with a stogie'
snip...

This quote July 1, 2009 is written by reporter, Mark Leibovich (San Francisco Sentinel.com) and from an interview he did with Schwarzenegger:

“Schwarzenegger and I then repaired to a tent that he had put up in a courtyard next to his office, which allows him to smoke cigars legally at work (no smoking is allowed inside the Capitol). The tent is about 15 square feet, carpeted with artificial turf and outfitted with stylish furniture, an iPod, a video-conferencing terminal, trays of almonds, a chess table, a refrigerator and a large photo of the governor. Schwarzenegger reclined deeply in his chair, lighted an eight-inch cigar and declared himself ‘perfectly fine,’ despite the fiscal debacle and personal heartsickness all around him. ‘Someone else might walk out of here every day depressed, but I don’t walk out of here depressed,’ Schwarzenegger said. Whatever happens, ‘I will sit down in my Jacuzzi tonight,’ he said. ‘I’m going to lay back with a stogie.’

SANTA MONICA, CA - JULY 20: A demonstrator (L) mocks California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger for remarking that he relaxes in his jacuzzi with a cigar after each day of dealing with the state economy as activists rally near the Santa Monica Airport, where Gov. Schwarzenegger commutes between his home in Brentwood and Sacramento, to protest budget cuts proposed by the governor on July 20, 2009 in Santa Monica, California. State legislators continued bickering over the weekend, blaming one another for a scheduling problem that pushed negotiations on the budget meltdown back another day. With massive cuts to state services and welfare, and layoffs and cuts to worker salaries through three mandatory furlough days each month, California, one of the worlds largest economies, now pays its bills with IOUs and its credit ratings have faltered. Just 4 1/2 months after closing the previous $42 billion deficit, legislative leaders and the governor are again trying to solve the state budget crises. Unresolved issues include borrowing from local governments, whether to guarantee repayment of lost school funds and how state money to save for future emergencies.

8. +1. First, they voted Gray Davis out. And then they voted Ahnuld in. Just like Prop. 13,
the CA electorate has no one to blame but themselves.

I see so many posts here placing all of the blame on Ahnuld.

But the man wasn't appointed. He was voted in by CA voters, twice, really, if you see it the way I do.

Davis had to be kicked by the curb by a majority of CA voters in order for a majority of CA voters to elect Ahnuld to the governorship.

14. I know many people that voted for him.
Had a few arguments with neighbors at the time of the recall. Funny, they don't bring him up in conversation anymore.

Starstruck maybe? I just don't understand how this happened.

11. Yeah, I'm having trouble feeling sorry for California...
...if they were dumb enough to vote him in, they deserve their fate. They made their bed...

3. Yep
It's not like Mr. Schwarzenegger has to worry about whether he can afford home nursing or hospice care in his declining years. Thank the good Lord above that overrich assholes finally have some representation in high office! Why should the governor care about all the citizens?

12. What did Harvey Korman call Madeline Kahn in Blazing Saddles?
Was it, Teutonic twit?

Sad, both of them are now gone, while Arnold the Dumph**k is still among us.

9. There is something to be said for leaving work at the office.
Still, you'd think that matters that weighty would bear down on even Ahnuld.

10. That's an interesting statement,

That he commutes from Brentwood to Sac.

How does he do that pray?

What kind of enviromental impact does he have?

I think it's time to ground govs in their capital cities. If you don't want to live there for 4 years, tough titty. This is public office, not a party. And I'm looking at you too, Moose-for-brains.

Dont Blame Me, I voted for Bustamente.
