1. Who watches Faux Noise or American Idol?
I certainly wouldn't.

10. Everyone I work with
I eat lunch at my desk on Wednesdays. I just don't get it. I try to talk about the war or No Child Left Behind and they change the subject. And these are teachers! But someone brings up American Idol and they are all ears. Just makes me ill.

14. I don't blame them one bit for not wanting to discuss your topics
Edited on Wed Apr-11-07 08:45 AM by Mike Daniels
Most people, despite their job, have no desire to discuss politics at work.

Doesn't mean they aren't interested in those subjects but political discussions among co-workers in most workplaces are minefields best avoided.

2. I heard that Simon said
that if Sanjaya won or if this stuff kept up he would quit. I don't believe it because he has to be making a bunch of money off this controversy anyway. American Idol makes too much even if Sanjaya wins for it to go away.

5. Bwwwwaaaaahhhhh !!!!!!!! **snort**
I'm seriously considering it... but, I don't have the heart to blow the show a lot of people like... even if I think it is completely ridiculous.

7. I take it you're not aware of Idol Gives Back?
http://www.americanidol.com/idolgivesback/

FOX, AMERICAN IDOL and the Charity Projects Entertainment Fund (CPEF is a charitable U.S. organization) have partnered on an historic television event – IDOL GIVES BACK – a two-night special to help raise awareness and funds for children and young people in extreme poverty in America and Africa.

The money raised by the two shows will equally benefit the U.S. and Africa. In the U.S., the money will be distributed to Save the Children and other U.S. organizations working to deliver programs to children living in some of the most disadvantaged areas of America.

In Africa, the money will be focused on delivering health and education programs and will be distributed via CPEF to a number of organizations including: U.S. Fund for UNICEF, The Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, Save the Children, NothingButNets.net and Malaria No More

11. Sanjaya's really not that bad. 17 year old kid, fair voice, nice smile,
very safe looking. Idol has done worse (Ruben? come on)

16. The one week Sanjaya truly wasn't the worst will probably be the week he does get voted off
I'll give the guy major points for last night as he was the only one who actually took the stated theme of the program to heart.

The rest of the songs were pretty much pop songs by Latino artists or pop songs that had a Latin sounding arrangement.

17. yes, last night he was pretty good
I admit that I have started watching this season because of all the Sanjaya talk, including Keith's show. Last night most of the singers were really bad. The women tried too hard to dance. Most of them can't move at all. Sanjaya didn't bother with that, just sat on a stool. He actually sounded good during most of the song. Can't wait to hear what Keith says about him tonight.

15. First, it's not the same as Fox News. Second, it won't destroy them.
