1. Anybody have video of chimpy's "Who cares what you think!" remark
That was as close to the truth as we will ever get with the junta.

2. RawStory is quoting the WH, and they lie constantly. Per this,
Americans don't even want to fund the surge if it comes down to it:

Poll: More Americans Favor Congress Withholding Funds In Face Of Veto
By Greg Sargent | bio

Buried in today's Los Angeles Times poll is a fascinating number that's gotten no attention as of yet:

It finds that if President Bush vetoes the Dems' bill attaching a withdrawal date to troop funding, more Americans by a very slim margin want Congress to refuse to send the President another bill without withdrawal timetables than want Congress to give him the no-strings-attached bill that he's insisting on.

5. I've been in a constant state of cognitive dissonance since he took office
There's the world I see around me, and then there's the world I see on television. I cannot believe they are both the same world.

6. Public opinion was overwhelmingly against the surge.
Bush knows it. He just doesn't care; he never cared about 95% of the population anyway, but he had to present the facade that he did. He knows his approval ratings have tanked for good. That's why he's much more dangerous now than at anytime in the past few years of his reign (not a term...being as how he wasn't elected). He hasn't been this dangerous since right after 9/11 when he exploited his political capital to begin the destruction public education, create a new police state, and give the economic feudal lords a tax break.

7. people are totally irrelevant in this govt
The USA government is not about the people.
It's about money and corporations, basically the rich.
It's about abuse of power and manipulation of the law
in order to get away with crimes against humanity.

People are uttlerly irrelevant.

9. we must be relevant because * will start his tour again around the
US to plead his case for his illegal war to continue. Watch for Darth Cheney to come out of his shadows to give his 2 cents.

It's all about the timeline and * hates it, he wants his war!! what a spoiled brat!

8. The Bushistas lied this country into an illegal war.
It's a cinch that they will lie about anything else, including public opinion.
