I'm a grandmother ... my 1st grandson was born last night
And I am so glad he was born into a world where intelligence and wisdom (Obama/Biden) won over hype and fear (McCain/Palin).

3. Congratulations!
My only daughter is 18 months old but I am ready to be a grandpa. I want her to grow up in a world that is full of opportunity and hope instead of hatred. I grew up during the Reagan years and I do not want that for my beautiful daughter. I actually want her to care about other people, regardless of their color/creed.

7. Children are a bid for imortality. As you were taught by your parents
and they by theirs so you teach yours and they their own. So it is values are passed and so it is we all live forever in the continuum of time.

"Through no act of your own, you have become related to another human being."

Congrats!

31. I tried to compose a response to make you feel better ... but,
what can you say about this type of senseless violence? I wish I could make you feel better or ease your pain, but I don't possess those types of superpowers. I'm sorry if my post upset/reminded you of pain. But, know, I too, have experienced loss - this was just one of the better times and I was just trying to share that bit of joy.
