They are nothing more than unwatchable right wing propaganda.

1. I gave them up years ago. If anything important happens, it gets reported. nt

10. Just as I gave up NFL pre-game shows when I couldn't take Phyllis George's love for the Cowboys
any more.

My quality of life dramatically improved.

3. I think talking heads have been overrated for some time.
I enjoy Meet the Press, because now we get to meet the actual press for a change, instead of just Timmeh and reps from the Bush White House.

4. There are Sunday shows? Who knew?
I stopped watching the corporate propaganda news shows more than 30 years ago. I haven't missed anything as far as I can tell from the reports here from those who still torture themselves. I am certainly less disinformed.

6. Hate them ~ all the same

Two of their hand picked people that show "both sides" of the issue.

They want to be Fair and Balanced and what they get is Air Time to these Clowns as they discuss for hours why Clowns should be allowed to disrupt a public Forum and not give people an opportunity to be heard.

8. This week had 2 GOP, 2 very right leaning centrists and 1 centrist
at the round table. So much for balance.

17. Sorry Donaldson is a centrist
he did well today but when you take a centrist vs 5 right wingers the centrist tends to look very liberal.

And i do not use centrists as a derogatory term like many DUers do.

12. I stopped watching in the 80s when they developed the formula
of having two foaming at the mouth, Reagan massaging right wingnuts "balanced" by a tepid liberal who refused to stand up for much of anything.

If they're not going to challenge obvious lies, why bother?

15. Yep, I lost interest a few weeks ago.
Except when a Bill Maher Real Time repeat is on that day. It wasn't that long ago that I was a real Sunday talk show junkie.

18. I just gave them up, too.
If any real news is made, I'll see it here at DU. Otherwise I'm not going to bother. It makes for a more peaceful Sunday morning. I'm even watching CBS Sunday Morning--nice human interest magazine. Today they had a thing on Woodstock, a thing on root beer, a thing on Julia Child and the new movie out about her--just easy going but still interesting stuff. A nice change.

That was it.

Now, I watch none of them. They are worthless.

And I also skip most of what is passed off these days on TV as "news". The Web is keeping me informed and sane.
