If this fool can call you or any liberal any name in the book by quoting from some disreputable chain e-email, but when you reply that most right wing politicians are either too dumb, too racist, too busy chasing someone to screw, too incompetent or too corrupt to hold office and their head explodes... Then you're dealing with a right winger.

2. They have Lee Greenwood's "I'm Proud To Be An American" on their iPod cue.

3. Someone who sounds like they're received a brain dump from a Frank Luntz focus group.

4. The stench of stale tea bags anywhere near their vicinity.

5. Bumper stickers like: "It's about heritage, not hate", "Rush is Right", "Palin 2012", "My Other Car Burns Coal", or "Glenn Beck is MY idiot"

I am not even sure what that bumpersticker means, but I am happy to see people eschew hate rather than espouse it.


Except now that the train comes in, it is clear they are talking about the stars and bars. My heritage is that one of my mom's great grandfathers died in Andersonville Prison, so I think that if they are gonna remember their heritage, it should be a preface to an apology.

11. A lot of their rhetoric is projection: lots of comments about the left being "stupid", "deluded", "bitter", and "gullible"...yep, that's correct, you ARE. I know no more bitter and angry, gullible and deluded person than this guy.

12. Always refers to the President in some way other than his real name: "Osama Obama", "Barry Soetoro"--you get the drift.

13. More and more references to Hitler, the Holocaust, the Nazi Party, socialist dictatorships, and how people believed in them at first, too: "Just wait, it will happen here too, six months after this guy becomes President!!" (This pronouncement was made just after the election in November.)

14. Personal attacks: when the angry discourse fails to cause a reaction, they move on to personally insulting me because of the way I vote. I am no longer a real person, just a member of the "liberal left".

They can't be up unless another is down. Fun always comes at another's expense = VERY right-wing.

Also, I've noticed they're likewise fond of the 'shrug' emoticon, as in using:

... as a response to any unconventional view.

That one may be more of a subjective observation, but I've noticed that posters who are quick to use it are usually way to the right of my views.
