It's not snowing or raining right now, but it looks like it is because it's all falling/melting off the tree branches. Kinda pretty, if you don't think about the poor flowers and leaves under the snow (though I think snow insulates stuff from potentially colder air).

They've never come up that early - even the hostas were poking up their little purple spears - and that usually doesn't happen until mid-May! where i`m at there seems to be a 25-40 mile zone with little rain or snow just windy. it`s been that way through out the storm so far. i`ve been in the dells this time of year and had freezing rain/snow..there`s nothing like sitting in an outdoor hot pool when it`s freezing rain..

back in 1970 (maybe '69, don't remember for sure) there was snow in *June*. I thought I was living in some remote arctic place after seeing that. Then I moved back in 1979. A few years of bitter cold winters and then El Nino moderated the winters quite a bit.
