When was the last time there were three tropical storms

It was recent. 2007 I think there was at one time 5 hurricanes at once in the middle of the ocean.

8. There aren't three in the Atlantic now. Claudette was TD 4 this

morning, off Tampa in the Gulf where it had formed, and is still in the Gulf. I just checked the map, and yup, there it is.
