What do you think of the Congressional Progressive Caucus' stance on the public option?
Email them here and let them know:
progressive@mail.house.gov

or email them through the web here:

Here is their recent press release:
"The public option is central to healthcare reform. Real reform, which lowers costs and ensures all Americans get the quality, affordable healthcare that they deserve, cannot be accomplished without a robust public option. As we have stated repeatedly for months now, a majority of the members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus will oppose any healthcare reform legislation that does not include a robust public option. Our position has not, and will not, change. As Co-Chair of the Progressive Caucus, I look forward to working with my colleagues to develop comprehensive legislation that allows all Americans to choose the healthcare plan that’s right for them and their families. But I will not support any bill that does not include a public option."

1. Just remove the word "Option" and I love it - public Health Care should be the progressive goal.
Single Payer. The Public Option is a sad second choice.

3. Until real Democrats hold the Vichy-Dems accountable for their complicity, the traitors
will continue to side with the pukes.

A "victory" of the type that is coming at us is worse than doing nothing.

4. "Stance" is the key word
You can't stand for something if you're back peddling. Before the congressional recess, Sen. Conrad was on Charlie Rose talking up the co-op as a compromise to the public option. At the time I didn't take him seriously, but now it looks like it's coming to pass. The public option itself is a compromise of single payer. Giving up the pubic option is going too far. If one side compromises twice before the other side gives up anything, that's not compromise, that's getting fucked over.
