Anybody want to take a crack at these talking points for analogy's?....I'll start off with Analogy #1

Analogy #1: People who invade other people’s lands have almost always done so to aggrandize their own standing in the world. Therefore, the U.S. and Israel are probably doing the same.

Talking point for analogy #1: These two nations attack other people’s nations for largely defensive reasons. Insofar as they have any broader goal, it is always to bring the invadees the gifts of either an advanced economy or democracy.

.....How's that for Orwellian speak? "We attack other people's nations for defensive reasons". If that's the case why not just invade everybody? Every nation is a threat to one degree or another.

.....Really? You say this with all seriousness? Dare I mention the Iraq lie? Defensive? Iraq? The country whose threat was inflated by administration hacks, the country that our own intelligence agencies reported said was not a threat but you invaded anyway.

Can't let all that profitable sweet crude under the ground go to waste in somebody else's pocket. Can't pass up an opportunity to reward political cronies with over-inflated cost-plus gov't contracts. Can't allow an opportunity to implement a libertarian "Laissez-faire" capitalists wet dream to pass you buy in "gifting" the Iraqi's their (?) new economy.

I'm pretty certain that a grieving mother in Iraq would gladly exchange her inked "blue thumb" for the chance to hold in her arms once again her now dead child.
