Rachel Maddow ran this clip of Malia Obama naming the three rock formations. As someone who took earth science at age 13 (and THAT was a year early), I'm VERY impressed 11-year-old Malia!

8. I took earth science in eighth grade--ages 13-14

and the entire class had to take a statewide regents exam on the subject. Every pop quiz and formal test the teacher gave us consisted of questions from previous regents exams. So I'm certainly "qualified" to be so impressed!

9. Know how I remember I was 17?

Because I had earth science right after someone ripped thru the school halls telling us Kennedy had been shot. And I didn't believe it. Until I got upstairs and saw the teacher's face. It was from a window in the earth science room that we looked out and saw the flag was at half mast.

6. It seems like everything about the First Family is simply wonderful

They are all just so perfect! Each time I think that we have such a lovely family in the Whitehouse, a little chill runs up my back, sometimes I get a little tear of joy, and it ALWAYS brings a little smile to my lips.

After 8 years of horror, we finally have a REAL family to be proud of!

my son just told me the media is now doing a story on Michelle's shorts. I thought I would be hearing about this days ago,I know these people like a book.
