Dean very optimistic about Public Option.
He was just on the Ed Show and basically said that there will be a public option and that the dems will unite on this. He said that it is now clear that republicans are not going to support any kind of health care reform.
An aside, Ed Shultz has been absolutely amazing on his TV show.

2. OTOH, Jonathan Alter seems to be a proponent of
mandating profits and enormous compensation to insurance industry CEOs. ???

(even those with pre-existing conditions) by regulating them.

I've had cancer and my health insurance cost me over $10,000.00 last year and it was catastrophic. No meds and a $1,000 deductible. It's really only good for me getting hit by a bus.

What will happen to Alter's "regulations" when the repuges are back in power. I don't think Jonathan is such a great guy. Let him live through a couple of cancers and an accident and see how he feels about his regulated insurance industry.

3. Johnathan Alter (sp?) seems to be dead set against the public option
He and Ed had a near shouting match over it.

11. I'd love to see him up against Hannity and Joe Scar
I wasn''t much into his radio show but he is really good on this tv show, especially on the matter of health care reform. He doesn't let up!
