THE most important first step towards a reformed congress is...
Extensive overhaul of lobbying laws and restricting private sector influence.

Before we can ever trust our politicians to care for our health or general welfare, we must stop them from being bought out by private sector interests.

There is no doubt in my mind that fascism runs rampant in the halls of capital hill. To assume otherwise is simply being naive.

Stop the exchange of money between corporations and politicians (both directly and indirectly). Stop the practice of contracting out to unregulated private companies. Stop electing former CEOs and board members that continue the corrupt world of chronieism. If we cut off the incentive, we have a chance of putting our government back in the hands of the people. That is where it belongs.

There can be a peoples revolution. It does not have to be violent. But we must deal with the source of corruption; money.

Without these extensive reforms, I see little hope of ever having things like socialized medicine. Corporate control of congress is simply to powerful.

3. A constitutional amendment stating that corporations are not persons with personal rights.
Spelling out a collective status for them, that does not include free speech rights as if they were persons.

4. Unfortunately, the people who could make the changes are on the payroll.
Kind of like asking the Mafia or CIA to police themselves.
