Maher will be on a tear about Imus and that panel looks
like a stinker to me. Hopefully I'm wrong but man it
doesn't look good.

4. I haven't seen Dana Carvey for a while
I hope he has some new impressions up to date
we could all use a new
Church Lady laugh and with
Scott McClellan and Bill Bradley on the same panel
that should be interesting.

The dialogue between Maher and Sharpton will compare
and contrast two opposing viewpoints on "the Don affair" which
they have stated lately in the news. You know that will be the discussion.

Sometimes both of them tend to go to far and get off the mark.
I like Sharpton, who I see as a needed barb on society, just as much as Maher is.
They both can't stand this administration.

I plan on watching, I hope they keep up on the war czar, e-mails and other impeachable topics.

22. yep
and Dana is contributing nothing.. what a surprise.
I grew up loving Dana Carvey on SNL and I respect
what he has done but somewhere between being great
on SNL and being granted access to Bush I as the loving
impersonator, he has basically lost all interest for
me. Is it me or does he basically have nothing to
say except for the most superficial dumb comments?
That's my opinion at least.

I loved impressionist most of my life ,and Dana had some good ones at one time.

But his new jokes and impressions were not that good and
started to the right of center..

He missed Gore impression and then missed the joke.

Gore is funnier than him.

47. I actually agree
He was a top notch impressionist back in the day, in fact
one of my favorite. Something has happened in the last 10
years and he just misses all the time and hob knobs with
the worst of his subjects. Its kind of sad I grew up a
big fan.

48. Now I know why. He is a good father and is out of touch with the times.
In 1997, he underwent open-heart surgery for a blocked artery.
Unfortunately, the doctors operated on the wrong artery.
Carvey later sued for medical malpractice and was awarded $7.5 million.
He has had to undergo a total of five operations to correct his heart problems.
Carvey stated in an interview with Larry King that he donated all
the money awarded to him from the lawsuit to charity.

He is number 90 on Comedy Central's list of the 100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time.

A very private person, Carvey withdrew from the limelight
to focus on his family.
He later said in an interview that he doesn't want to be in a career
in which his kids would already be grown
with his having neglected time with them.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dana_Carvey

I didn't know this.

49. New Rule: If you sympathize with Imus,
then you probably are feeling guilty over crossing the line too many times yourself and explaining it all away with something as lame as "I doubt the Rutgers women's team was watching Imus anyway" somehow doesn't work so well.

With the star-studded guests of tonight's show, it should have been a great show.
New Rule: Sometimes, Real Time w/Bill Maher produces a dud.

Dana Carvey sillied his way into any serious discussions and wanted everyone to notice only him.
New Rule: Have Dana Carvey on by himself so he can have the entire spotlight on himself.

Bill blew the interview with Sheryl Crow and Laurie David with his cynical outlook towards everyone.
New Rule: You aren't the only single citizen in the country who is so beyond reproach that you can
pass judgment on everyone else, Bill. Climb down from that cloud a little bit.

50. Nice review on the negative aspects

I liked Bradley and Scotty get into it.

Bill is off or out of touch with the times,
he has caught up over the break, but I find him a little
behind the curve.
he is still one of the good guys.

He at least put the news about Sheryl Crow and Laurie David on the air to give them exposure
on what they are trying to do and to make americans aware of.

Do you have anything positive to say?
Your review was very astute

I still like the show
