Terrorists don't hate our freedoms, they LOVE them,
specifically our "free" press, courts, elections, and other democratic institutions, because they're experts at manipulating them.

Who is they? The CIA. They learned from overthrowing Mossadeq in 1953 that democracies can be easily and cheaply undermined with a little covert action, and they've been having at it ever since--Arbenz in Guatemala in 1954, followed by coups in South Vietnam, Chile, and of course the USA in November 1963, 1968, 1980, 2000, and let's not forget September 2001.

It appears that "free" institutions have an attractively low pricetag.

1. Hmmmmmm
So the terrorists are the CIA? That's kind of confusing; you should make it more clear.

Or do you think Al-Qaeda are trying to undermine our democracy using CIA developed techniques?

2. Well, yes.
The terrorists that the President is so concerned to defend us against are in fact a production of the CIA. That's not to say there weren't Iranian hijackers in the 1970s or that the IRA never existed, but the terrorists currently threatening the world are not Iranian or Irish.

What the OP is trying to explain is how they could "get away with" such a preposterous scam. In fact, they've been getting away with it for 54 years, and making a tidy bundle at the same time, which after all is the whole point.

Just between you and me MIHOP is total nonsense.

4. Can't say I blame you.
No one seems to go broke defending the official story, but quite a few people have lost their jobs (and more) by challenging it. That's another CIA specialty.
