Tom DeLay is trying to get Rosie fired - along with Imus.
I just saw where he has a campaign going to get her ousted. Using the same technique that worked so well on Imus.

Better not mess with Rosie. I will never watch ABC again.

Rose and then who? That is the trouble with this kind of thing. You never know what the end result is going to be.

2. There are plenty of people as guilty as Imus
and it could become interesting if this is the new measure across the board for firing people.

4. Everyone got after me for defending Imus - but this is the kind
of thing that scares me a lot more than anything that he could have said.

We are living in a society that simply crushes anyone who says something unpopular with the current code of thought and behavior.

Maybe what Imus or Rosie said was wrong or stupid or whatever - but what is being done to silence them is far worse.

speaking out against the * regime! Keep it up, Rosie!

Typical hypocritical spew from that scumbag Delay!

11. Rosie isn't guilty of anything except having strong opinions.
I don't find her offensive at all. I kind of think she is like a breath of fresh air - doesn't matter whether I agree with her. I just like to hear her go on about stuff that she feels strongly about. I wish more people felt like they could spout off like that.

13. She has certainly boosted the ratings on The View!
Shooting down EH daily on her RW BS is drawing a lot of people to watch the show!
That ought to tell you something about why Delay is gunning for her! ;)

20. Really?
So I think you are implying there that Rosie directed a venomous racist personal attack against a totally undeserving target. Please provide the documentation for that event, along with supporting evidence that Rosie has done similar things repeatedly in the past.

Which are at #2,204 for the moment. :P

He's like a political Paris Hilton that just won't go away.

8. He'll do anything to get publicity. Why doesn't he go after white music instead?
If he really wanted to attack the problem, he'd attack the degrading white entertainment industry that treats women as sex objects and creates unattainable images of beauty which cause so many women to starve themselves and/or mutilate their bodies to look "beautiful."

Um, not that I have a clue what Rosie is doing these days or why DeLay is using her name to get in front of a camera...

10. Oh, Rosie made a claim one day that one of the buildings
that went down on 9/11 was brought down by an inside bomb. Some sort of conspiracy thing that is going around right now.

Made her "unpatriotic" to even suggest such a thing, I guess. Like DeLay is a patriot? Come on.

All the god-awful stuff that Ann Coulter has said.

Did she ever say she was sorry for calling Edwards a faggot. (That is the most offensive word)

15. There must be a campaign against Rosie. Mike Huckabee has
made similar comments about her.

"If Imus is going to get fired, then there's a lot of other people that need to go out the door. Rosie (O'Donnell) has probably got to go. Bill Maher has to go. Gosh, half of talk radio and television has to go," Huckabee said.

I'm afraid we're going to hear calls for a lot of outspoken people of all political persuasions to lose their jobs. Hope it doesn't come to that.

keep Rosie on the show, posted here at DU the other day.
