!!!Senate Judiciary gets input on picking IT specialist to recover e-mail!
WASHINGTON (AP) - The White House said Saturday it is agreeing
to the Senate Judiciary Committee's request for how to choose
someone to help recover some lost e-mails involving official presidential business.

White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said Saturday that Fielding called
Leahy and Specter to say that allowing the committee input
into picking an independent consultant is a good idea.
As a result of the conversation Friday, White House and committee staff
plan to meet early this coming week to move forward, she said.

2. LOL..but at least this is a start
Leahy is not gonna be weak on this, so it looks like the white house blinked.

If they(*) do play the game you are talking about
it will be a political football they will fumble.

6. I agree. I was being a bit of a smartass. Odds are, they'll give the WH a list,
and the WH will pick the "least offensive" individual. Hopefully it will be a secretly appalled Republican who sees a draft in his future if he doesn't save the world, or something like that. Someone they'd foolishly think knew the secret hand signals!

9. Wonder how long they'll argue that one?
I don't think Leahy will settle for very long.

12. I hope if I ever get in trouble I can pick my own investigators
Maybe I'll ask the sheriff what he thinks of the investigator I pick, but if I don't agree with him I'll give him a hardy "fuck you".
