Condi called Imus' comments "disgusting" in the last day or two.

4. She used to be Bush's umbrella in any shitstorm
Rah Rah Boss! and all that sort of nonsense. She quited down greatly when they gave here State, but now days she has simply disappeared.

2. Well Condi's probably on the back burner
I would guess that she and probably some of her buddies still think she might want to run for President or at least the Senate someday; so probably better to stay out of the limelight now that everything seems to be burning down.

Don't know about Laura, but I've never seen her on the stage all that much.

3. Condi is the first Sec. of State that has been asked not to visit certain
.... countries by people in those countries that consider us "friends."

I think Egypt, Lebanon, & Saudi Arabia asked her to stay away @ one time
or another ...... lately she has been dodging Henry Waxman about those
16 words in the President's State of the Union in 2003.

5. I was thinking that last week

All the flap about the Pelosi ME visit and NADA from Condi.

Um, isn't this supposed to be Condi's area of expertise? Don't you think Condi would be the first one to offended if Pelosi crossed the line?

I haven't heard word one from Rice on this whole affair.

6. Condi doesn't have much to do in this administration.
They don't do diplomacy. Only serious face-to-face appears to be coming from Congressional delegations. She's doing about as well at SoS as she did in her role of NSA.

7. Marginalia to the history of all that's good in this country. Both.
Footnotes on Condi will say: Disregarded Bin Laden warning. Bought shoes. Aided and abetted drunk president. Covered his drinking.

Footnotes on Pickles will say: Aided and abetted drunk president. Covered his drinking.

10. Shopping for shoes to deal with the rage of Wolfowitz's gf making more $
http://blog.foreignpolicy.com/node/4282

It seems that Riza, who was working at the Bank when Wolfowitz was nominated to be its president, was seconded to a position at State because Bank rules prohibit spouses or partners from supervising one another. To compensate for her career disruption, she was promoted to manager, a move Kamen calls "rare." She was then handed two fat raises, which were far higher than what normal Bank rules would have allowed her to collect, even in her new position. She now makes nearly $200,000 a year, more than Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

And from Murray Waas at http://www.huffingtonpost.com/murray-waas/favoritism-shown-towards_b_45038.html

Before she was detailed over to the State Department, Riza was earning $132,660, according to the bank's payroll records obtained by the Governmental Accountability Project. Had the bank's board adhered to its ordinary rules, as Riza was shifted over to the State Department, she should have only been eligible for a raise of about $20,000. Instead she was given a raise of $47,340, whereupon her salary became $180,000. Then last year, she received yet another raise which brought her salary to $193,950. That salary increase not only meant that Riza earned more than Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, but apparently made her the single highest paid State Department official.

15. The most over-rated woman
the press has ever tried to pass off. Damn if she does not remind me of Sherry Palmer of 24 fame....Smart, gutsy, but lied, lied....If they had not written Sherry Palmer off the show then Condi rice could apply for the part come Jan. 20, 2009....Amazing how often art imitates life, and vice versa.
