2. Excellent. I told my reporter/son that if he ever uses this phrase, he's out of the will!
A symbolic threat, true, cause I don't expect to leave much behind besides my good example, but he understood what I was talking about. He just won a Radio-Television News Directors Association's Edward R. Murrow Award (regional) for excellence in electronic journalism. Edward R. Murrow is his hero - so he was quite happy and all the family are very proud of him.

3. I'd like the cartoon better
if the TeeVee was making a reference to someone besides Cat-Killer Frist as an example of innuendo. His predilection for freelance vivisection is well-documented. Having seen plenty of slams against *Co - subtle and not-so-subtle - I like Wiley Miller's Non Sequitur a lot; perhaps I need to work on becoming more willing give the benefit of the doubt where it's warranted. Maybe the 'club kittens' reference was meant to be a 'generic' innuendo, but you-know-who was the first person who came to mind.
