GOP Rep. Trent Franks Calls Obama "An Enemy Of Humanity"
A Republican member of the House of Representatives accused President Barack Obama of being "an enemy of humanity" during a conservative values forum this past weekend.

In a speech Saturday before the conservative How to Take Back America conference, Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ) delivered an inflammatory speech that once again pushed the envelop well beyond traditional White House criticism. At one point, the Arizona Republican demanded that Obama release his birth certificate to his constitutionally eligibility to hold office. The bluntest charge, however, centered on the president's position on abortion, which the congressman derided as "insane" and godless.

19. Exactly. Plus, they had their chance when they controlled everything.
They had the Senate, House, WH and a conservative judiciary for YEARS. They didn't ban abortions. Why? Because they needed a wedge issue for the 2004 elections.

6. Golly, Trent
And what do you have to say about a war criminal who perpetrated real, live, actual crimes against humanity, like torturing people to madness and death? Because you're very welcome to take back that little slice of America, fold it six ways and stick it where the sun don't shine.

10. Okay, AZ is clearly making a play for SC's crown of crazy.
Didn't their governor call Phoenix a "hell hole" or something recently? She was clearly taking advantage of Sanford's recent uncharacteristic absence from the media.

Now this guy trying to outstage Mr. Joe "You Lie!" Wilson?

The ball's in SC's court. How will they respond?

:popcorn:

17. SC responds with this:
Gaffney SC BOA Branch Boycotted and Employees Threatened Over Flags

Adam Childers organized a quiet rally Friday in response to a bank manager removing small American flags placed at the sidewalk last week in memory of a fallen Marine.
<snip>
The controversy began Sept. 15 when Brenda Earls said the branch manager of Bank of America removed Earls' flags placed along the sidewalk.

Earls said the manager told her she was following corporate policy in order not to offend customers.

Bank of America's corporate office released a statement within hours after Earls said the flags were removed, saying a misunderstanding had occurred. The flags were re-positioned.
<snip>
Childers said removal of the flags by anyone representing the bank was enough reason for him to close his account there. He followed through prior to taking a position on the curb and asking others to do the same.

Childers said a bank employee nodded to a closed office door when he asked about the status of the manager's employment ."My protest was directed at the bank's corporate policy and the corporate office," he said. "Not the local employees."

The Cherokee County Council has taken a similar stance, voting Monday night to close its accounts with Bank of America.
<snip>
Several relatives of the bank's employees presented another view of the problems caused over the removal of the flags by the bank manager.
<snip>
"Those employees are working in fear. An armed guard is at the door because they have received threats -- calls that they will be followed home and their families harmed. They are experiencing lockdown on the job. The guard escorts them in and then out when the workday ends. They can't even go out to lunch," Harrington said.

She had a perspective about what precipitated the flag removals, saying it was the result of two women who had a misunderstanding, referring to the branch manager and Earls. "I'm a true patriot, but I also support my sister, who is being threatened daily on her job here," she said.

Harrington said children of the employees hear the discussions and are fearful for their mothers' lives and their own.
<snip>
Mona Thomas said her daughter, who is a teller, is being verbally abused by the public regarding the flags, although she was not a part of the decision to remove them.

"Every day, people tell her to quit. Walk out. With this economy, where are the tellers going to get other jobs? They have good pay and benefits. People are cursing them, and they had no part of this flag flap. It happened over a week ago. How long will it keep going? Anybody who wants to complain should take it up with corporate, not at this bank," Thomas said.

They are NUTS! A problem they saw arose and was corrected. But nooooooooooooooooo! That wasn't good enough.

They probably won't be appeased until the branch is burned down and all the employees are shot at dawn.

I haven't seen a story since 9/26, but I doubt this is over. There will be guns.

What's really fucking sad...
Is that Gary Bettman thinks that people stupid enough to support Joe Arpaio, Jon Kyl, and Trent Franks are bright enough to appreciate a good game of ice hockey. What's even more stupid is that there are "Democrats" who are working with the NHL and the other leagues to ensure that the Coyotes aren't forcibly moved to a market where people *gasp* give a flying fuck about the game.

those that don't have it is an enemy of humanity. And Bush, who bombed and killed thousands, is AOK and a friend to humanity.

Oh yeah, silly me, there aren't any sane and responsible Republicans left nor does the GOP have any dignity or integrity.
