If VT was armed like every other school, this wouldn't have occurred.

These rates of murder in America will continue every single day and are likely to increase at the rate of 3.0% to 5.0% annually unless some form of action is taken to stop it. Today's killings at VA Tech as terribly tragic these are will only add to the statistical base of senseless brutal killings which go on across the country every single day.

*This number is based on the rising trend of U.S. homicides which totaled 18,681 in 2006 of which 68% were committed with firm arms.
