Jon Kyl (R)said," War is a necessity, health care is not."
" Kyl says that you can't "win a war on the cheap," which didn't stop him from supporting the War in Iraq, which was designed with "on the cheap" in mind, and he didn't try to keep focus on Afghanistan when he could have, which helped to squander the money invested there. Meanwhile, what about people who die, right here, at home. Kyl says, "I'm not sure that it's a fact that more and more people die because they don't have health insurance." But you know what just KILLS Kyl? The deficits. Not the deficits that Americans face when it comes time to choose between bankruptcy and homelessness and staying alive. The deficits he helped to run up because WARS CAN NEVER BE DEFICIT NEUTRAL.

8. Republicons have a tradition of Chickenhawkery to uphold
Edited on Sun Oct-18-09 05:52 PM by SpiralHawk
Virtually all of their 'leaders,' and all of their overpaid, blow-dry corporate media propaganda spokesunits, are bigmouth chickenhawks.

So it is highly unlikely that one of them will spoil this skankulous Republicon tradition and actually join up to serve the United States of America in some capacity.

15. I had the same thought.
Or maybe, on principle, he should give up his own health care, since "it isn't necessary."

12. Well of course -- people on the skids will pull and scrape to pay for health care. . .
but no one voluntarily sends their pennies to help pulverize people.

From a tax base viewpoint, war becomes a "necessity" because money can be extorted for it through the IRS, while money for health care will be voluntarily forthcoming from every citizen willing to hock their future to keep a loved one alive.

17. Well this is how insane the cheney/bush doctrine was and now Kyl among the last...
to offer public aid & comfort to violent foreign & domestic republican ravings: declare a war of choice, toss everybody in bloody them up, squander innocent blood & hard earned treasure for generations to come then declare "war is a necessity, health care is not" - the disassociation of republicans is unfathomable it knows no bounds or depth

29. wow! a phrase that captures the soulless Republican Party more than any other i've heard.
"War is a necessity, health care is not."

given the "wars" of choice for oil we've been in lately, and that people OBVIOUSLY need health care as a basic necessity of life, this is an appalling statement, and revealing of a state of moral depravity in Kyl, even if it's out of context.

says it all...
