Jack Tapper of ABC News comes to the defense of Fox
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/10/20/jake-tapper-challenges-wh_n_327820.html

"It's escaped none of our notice that the White House has decided in the last few weeks to declare one of our sister organizations "not a news organization" and to tell the rest of us not to treat them like a news organization. Can you explain why it's appropriate for the White House to decide that a news organization is not one -"

Wow, sounds like circling the wagons to me.

Sad part is, he makes a valid point. Fox really is no different from the others, they are all equally worthless. None of them are "news organizations" when you get down to brass tacks. They are corporate propaganda/infotainment mechanisms. And it's a sad, sorry state of affairs. In all fairness, Fox is the most obnoxiously blatant propaganda mechanism. But considering their target audience and what they want to hungrily lap up, it's no big surprise.

All of them have a target audience though, and that's the real issue.

4. He's probably scared that they are going to go after him next.
Rightly so. He doesn't exactly perform his job a reporter or journalist should. He would rather give a bj to his Republican friends.
