I want an old-fashioned, for-real, Jimmy Stewart style filibuster. The current record for continuously holding the floor of the US Senate is 24 hours and 18 minutes, set by Strom Thurmond.

I figure if "Doctor" Coburn would catheterize Mitch(aka "puppet mouth")McConnell on the Senate floor (while C-SPAN cameras roll), he could possibly go 36 hours or so. When he finally collapsed, we could then vote and 51 votes would be all that was required to pass a public option health care bill and send the GOP into the political wilderness.
