We were told this was the trade-off: "Give mandated insurance to Big Insurance, and they have to STOP CHERRY PICKING."

Instead, we're planning to let them continue to overcharge their cherry-picked demographic, and dump the "uninsurables" sick on the taxpayer.

How many broken promises do they think we will swallow?

1. How many ways can we get screwed at once???
Change that is all for the worse.

Aha! That's what Obama meant! Change, yes. But not in a good direction.

No wonder he was so vague.

(He's been talking down any good ideas that were raised, so don't tell me he's not to blame for this)

2. Nothing new...we did the same with Medicare.
Medicare is all about insuring the uninsurable demographic (the elderly) while allowing the private sector to game it out with the the rest.

I take solace from this idea: Corporations are greedy. With a public option for the 'risky' consumers present they will have more of an incentive to push people off their programs. Eventually we'll all be on the public one. The corporations own greed will ensure their demise.

6. And how many people will die or end up like me?
On disability because my insurance dumped me and I could not get medical care until I was completely bankrupt, I did not even have enough to file for bankruptcy and lived under bridges and on friends couches until I landed in ICU with pneumonia. And I did try to take care of my health, but once you have contracted hiv....

Things are a bit better now that I have a partner who is working and I do have SSD but it does not go far, but we still struggle.

Why did I and many others have to be totally destitute and lose everything we have worked for so the greedy bastards can ride around in limos and live in big houses and eat caviar and steak while we are lucky to get a fucking hamburger from McDs that will give us a heart attack then we cost the tax payer even more.

I did work and pay in, I worked 2 and 3 jobs to make ends meet and since I am a homo and cannot marry I had to pay full amount of taxes so straight folks kids can go to school etc etc.

I did send multiple messages to my rep and senators to wash, all I get is thank you for your opinion. I WILL remember come election time.

If I were a bit more well I would run for their offices, but I would not be able to fulfill the job that I feel the people of my district and state deserve. We sure as hell do not deserve this s**t.

I guess if I had died like I was supposed to I would not be such a pain in the a$$ for our 'elected' 'representatives' in WDCs hothouse of corruption and bribery.
