Forget bowing too low due to foreign custom, many of the Congressional Democrats have been grabbing their own ankles for corporate support; too busy buying their next election to do what's right in front of their faces.
The simple answer to what we want and need is providing a national health care plan is expanding Medicare and adding a buy in for those under 65 who aren't employed, not covered by their employers or running small businesses. The age of receiving medicare for those who are already covered can be moved to an older age, say 68. The number of people who would join a national health care plan would flood Medicare coffers, making it solvent for years and more affordable for all.
The real challenge facing Congress should be in fixing the idiotic laws they put into place a few years ago regarding Medicare.
This is the answer and as frustrating as it is to see and hear stupidity on a daily basis, it's devastating seeing supposedly competent and intelligent elected officials bowing too low to corporatism and shining us on.
