Poll question: Will you accept The Surge in Afghanistan as an Exit Plan?
Will you participate in the double-think that President Obama's escalation is in reality part of an exit plan?

Remember, about 47,000 US troops were there when he took office. With his initial surge of 22,000 and his upcoming surge of 30,000-35,000, he will have sent over half our force there. Will you see that as working towards an exit?

2. I'm going to wait to see the plan because anything else..
including this poll, is pure speculation.

5. Most of it is out in the open.
The speech is scheduled for Tuesday. The number of troops going will be 30,000+. The plan will have 'benchmarks' and 'exit ramps'.

6. funny though
If it is just rumor, then I'd point to the administration for the deception. Certainly the media is suspect in exaggerating and lying about initiatives from the WH and others, but I'd put money on the reports which say that the administration has been orchestrating much of the debate on Afghanistan through 'leaks' like the one we're obsessing on right now.

9. I agree
Granted I'm going into the plan rather down on what I'm likely to hear. I guess there are things that if it was the plan I would accept a troop surge.

3. When we suggested Obama should be more like LBJ
It was about handling the Senate, not escalating a war. :evilfrown:

7. The only things that are going to the "exit" is our values, & our president's credibility.

11. My "exit plan" ....
Blow the equipment in place and load the fucking airplanes and get our people out.

Sound simplistic? Might be.. but maybe the alternative is watching our people get killed two or three at a time for years, and eventually watching our Embassy staff being helo-lifted off the roof.
