If excerpts from Lisa Baron's upcoming book are anything to go on, it's sure to be a scandalous read.

My Burning Bush, Baron's memoir of her days as the spokeswoman for Ralph Reed -- the former Christian Coalition leader and the man Time called "The Right Hand of God" -- is being shopped around the New York publishing houses. And it promises to embarrass more than one figure in America's conservative movement.

they live in a bubble--just look at 95% of Chick Tracts (excluding the generic "be Christian" ones): the Bible quotes are tenuous at best, out of context, and warped in ways that few literate people would even dream of; none of his "citations," except for nonentity Alberto Rivera, are from before 1926

for example, they LOVED Rios Montt: he was creating a happy Protestant country, and only the bloodthirsty, Commie terrorist and their sniggering, foolish clergy shielding them stood in the way

they're NOT crazy per se: it's that they they live in a perfect bubble and see things only through it--so their responses to what they perceive as their environment are PERFECTLY rational. It's that their outlook is utterly insane, believing that a 3-day-old morula will look up at you with loving doe eyes and beg, "Mama, don't kill me." If that were true, abortion would be a stain against humanity, regardless of the mother's body rights: BUT IT AIN'T TRUE.

6. If there is one consistant thing about the Chritian Right

Nothing seems to embarrass them. When a "leader" is found to be a fraud, hypocrite sinner, they just project their own pathetic lives and forgive. They look the Palin's dysfunctional family and see a reflection of their own. Affairs, son in trouble, unmarried pregnant daughter... She's just like us!
