It seems like ultimately, his job is to cede to the right, once he articulates a salient point or two just to make his futile case--if he's allowed. And he seems completely comfortable with this arrangement.

4. No. Why the assumption that Obama's doing what he does not want to do?
He's not ceding anything. This is who he is.

6. Yeah, I go back and forth. Just very frustrated at our political situation, folks.

You don't have to love the humor, but I'm just fucking sick and tired of the arrangement. I really was stupid enough to think the Democratic Party was legitimately fighting for the people on some level. We got conned, guys.

10. Just like Hannity to Colmes--see?
They just bully and bully him, and he just sucks up to them more and more.

11. Only if you define what Obama is doing as "sucking up" to them.
What he's doing couldn't be further from what the Republicans want.

If you want to see a real example of a Democrat doing that, look to Joe Lieberman. He only left the party b/c he got primaried, but he actually supported Republican policies. So, they had him speak at their convention and voted for him in CT over their own nominee.

When Obama shows up at a GOP convention as a keynote speaker to support the GOP nominee for president (), then you might be right.
