1. Someone needs to introduce a bill banning Christian marriage
After all, don't half of those immoral unions end in divorce?

2. Christian marriage?? Are you implying that Christian = heterosexual??
The only actual marriages are civil marriages, filed in city or town halls. Religious ceremonies are mere trappings and not part of the legal marriage procedure.

5. Listen, I don't have any problem with Christians, if they keep to themselves.
...and don't shove it down my throat.

But Christians getting married is unnatural and a perversion, and an attack on all our shared values. And that's why Christians getting married to each other should be outlawed.

14. Generally Christians are heterosexuals.
After all, the religion commands death to homosexuals in Leviticus 20:13.

3. More than half.
They're destroying marriage. But it's our fault.

9. Montserrate is the biggest POS of them all, btw
I can't even believe he's still in the Senate. Arrested for hitting his girlfriend's face with a broken glass, spearheaded the Albany coup, corrupt, shameless.

12. And here I'd been happy about my Election-Day choice to work for Addabbo
My excellent State Senator was assured of re-election, so I went off to Queens and spent the whole day working for Addabbo. It was one of the districts that we hoped to swing to get a Democratic majority. Somewhere I even have a picture of me with Addabbo.

I don't join in dismissing the Democratic Party as worthless. It's still better to have Addabbo in office so that people like Joe Bruno (former Republican leader) aren't running the State Senate. (At least Addabbo didn't join in the abortive coup.) Besides, the Republican whom Addabbo ousted, the troglodyte Serph Maltese, would probably have been happy voting to execute gay men and lesbian, never mind letting them marry.

Still, this development certainly casts a pall on the happiness I felt a year ago.

15. The man at the top in the Democratic party opposes gay marriage.
He also believes the issue should be decided by the states. This is the end result.

17. Let's take a look at their religious convictions...
Addabbo: Catholic

Aubertine: Unknown...Probably some sort of evangelical or right-Catholic wack job.

Diaz: Church of God of God (right-wing Pentecostal fundamentalist) Minister ... This fuck is a bigger bigot and bigger misogynist than Mike Huckabee and deserves

Huntley: Unknown...Probably some sort of evangelical or right-Catholic wack job.

Kruger: Jewish, oddly...Most Jewish Democrats are very socially liberal...Appears to be a closeted homosexual and should be the target of the next outing campaign.

Monserrate: Fundamentalist wacko...Also rumoured to have ties to the equally wacko scientology cult..Also a woman-beater who deserves a few beatings in prison...http://eng.feministblogs.org/tag/hiram-monserrate/

OnoRATo: Appears to be Greek Orthodox...A very homophobic Christian sect.

Stachowski: Catholic

So what do you know...5 are from gay-bashing religions, 2 are unknown, and 1 (oddly) is a Jew.
