The pressures to create jobs is coming from all sides -- businesses would like the White House to focus on free trade, Democrats on Capitol Hill on a jobs bill and many in the American public are narrowing in on deficit spending.


The American public didn't give a shit about deficit spending, or else Fox was blissfully silent when Bush was in office. And, incidentally, people WERE raising a shout in 1991 when the deficit was a mere $3 trillion, which was even brought up in television shows (e.g. "Roseanne")...

1. How about giving small businesses a break by providing health care?
They keep saying small business is where jobs are created, then make it impossible for them to survive let alone grow. Free trade only helps big business... need I say more?

Big business was also whining, big-time, about insurance costs. Oh, until the last year with their rout over the insurance costs debate everybody had. Funny timing, that...

I heard it was the low income people that made the banksters give them loans they knew they were gonna default on to buy houses they didn't need made the economy crash. sheeesh, get the story right.
