De Niro, Springsteen, Obama (pic)

US President Barack Obama shakes hands with singer and songwriter Bruce Springsteen as actor, director, and producer Robert De Niro (L) looks on during a reception for Kennedy Center Honorees in the East Room of the White House in Washington, DC. Obama told Springsteen that the rocker was indeed "the Boss," at the awards ceremony.

3. That's great.
One of the many things that frustrated me about Bush and his zombies was their refusal to cohort with the best and the brightest in the entertainment industry. Bush would look bored at the Kennedy Center events. It was such a contrast to Clinton, who enjoyed the arts liberally (he even went on TV once with Roger Ebert to discuss movies). I remember watching Clinton paying avid attention to every peformer at the Kennedy awards. It was fantastic.
