The leadership of the House Republicans “met with more than 100 lobbyists at the Capitol Visitors Center” yesterday to strategize about how to kill financial reform legislation. One lobbyist who attended the meeting told the press that “the message was…the Democratic majority are ruining America, ruining capitalism.”

2. And There Are Democrats Lined Up With Them As Well...

Not just conservo-Dems, but those on the left side who now see this bill as flawed beyond redemption and want it to fail as well. Bottom line is if a bill is defeated so is this administration and any attempt at reigning in the insurance companies for the foreseeable future. The lobbyists can smell the divisions within the Democrats and have the champagne chllin'...they just gave their GOOP buddies an early taste.
