I wonder what his reaction to a catastrophe of similar magnitude in an overwhelmingly Christian country will be. Probably something about them being punished for being the "wrong" brand of Christian.

1. The real whack-a-doo is the editor who Published this.
Call the editor and ask him when he's going to grow up a become a professional.

A bunch of people, including myself, had letters published utterly demolishing him.

4. That's what those losers always say.
Because they have no logical reasoning ability AT ALL.

I hate the way these uneducated fools 'think', if you can call it that. Something bad happens? It was God's will. Something good happens? It was God's will. Something bad happens to a Christian? God has a plan.

Someone gets a disease? Pray. They die? It was God's will. They get better? God answered prayer!

It seems 'God' is continually gaming the system. There is not one situation where ANYTHING that happens is just a matter of luck, chance, or just plain nature.

Idiots.

12. Sometimes they can't even decide who gets blamed for the bad stuff
Like a couple of my super-religious friends who actually call Satan "The Enemy".

Yep...The Enemy.

He's responsible for all kinds of bad shit that happens. All kinds of bad stuff that goes on in their heads, even. It's all the fault of The Enemy.

But only when they credit themselves with "overcoming The Enemy".

Otherwise, it's God doing what he does.

What always makes me want to punch the bible thumpers in the nose is this praying shit. If God is going to do what he does no matter what, then why the hell bother praying, like it's going to help?

I swear, people have to be an inch from being insane to believe shit like that.

6. My new right-wing catch-all phrase ...
"As long as homosexuals are allowed to have abortions in public schools, these things are going to happen."

8. Someone needs to ask the clown to explain why a number of churches
have been hit by tornadoes, on Sunday during services, resulting in the deaths of many worshipers!

13. Preventive maintenance...
God knew that most of the members were planning some pretty heavy sinning soon, so he decided to stop them before they could.

Everyone else who got killed...collateral damage.

Which is OK if you're God.

14. Bad stuff that happens in Haiti
often gets blamed on the practice of Vodou - Haiti's main religion along side Catholicism.

By 'blamed' I mean by bigoted wackos. And Protestants in Haiti.
