It would be the ultimate insult, a final slap in the face to the legacy of a great man, to allow a rethug to sit in Teddy's Senate seat. I'm not familiar with the current political climate of Massachusetts, but how is a rethug even able to be competitive in such a race? I cannot think of many rethugs who don't have some sort of scandals, whether they be ethical, moral, etc.

What are the recount rules like in Massachusetts? I would hope that if, somehow this rethug winds up winning, that the Democratic Party would challenge the results.

3. It's an abomination to have a true Blue population upset enough to give a fool like Brown a chance
You don't just get to scare people into voting republican. That only works on a certain part of the population. If they see nothing to vote for in Coakley and no reason to support a 60 vote corporate owned Senate then it's a waste of time

4. The political attitudes of folks from MASS are really complex IMHO

The further we move away from JFK and his legacy, I predict we'll see MA become a redder blue-purple.

7. Some towns here are totally red.
Topsfield and Boxford are two in my vicinity that vote republican every election. Wealthy towns, I might add.

11. Yes. I lived in the Malden/Medford area and I was very surprised at the conventional conservative...

...attitudes from most people I met there. It really opened my eyes that MASS was not the bastion of liberalism that I had believed.

12. Expand Medicare using reconciliation
Then we can trust we will be treated as the law dictates and not have some uncaring ahole who will get a bonus for declining my payment making life and death decisions on my life.

10. I think it's an abomination
for any political party or individual politician to believe they are entitled to an elected position.
