"Shove a curling iron up her butt!"
http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/archives/individual/2010_01/021964.php

QUOTE OF THE DAY.... In Massachusetts this morning, Scott Brown campaigned in West Springfield, where the conservative Senate hopeful complained about the tone of the campaign.

"I'll tell you what," Brown said, using a megaphone to address the crowd. "There's negative campaigning, and then there's malicious campaigning."

"She's malicious!" a man in the crowd cried out. "She's a phony!" shouted another. "Shove a curling iron up her butt!" a third man interjected a few moments later.

Yes, because it's not ironic at all to complain about "malicious" campaigning while your supporters call for assaulting the state Attorney General with a curling iron.

As for the rest of the afternoon, President Obama is scheduled to campaign alongside Martha Coakley in about an hour. Around the same time, Brown will host a rally with a retired baseball player, a retired football player, and the guy who played a mailman on "Cheers" 20 years ago.

As for the controversy surrounding Brown's comments about President Obama's family, a spokesperson for the conservative Republican said Brown "doesn't believe" that Obama's parents were unmarried when he was born. The GOP campaign did not, however, apologize for the ugly remarks.

DNC spokesperson Hari Sevugan added: "Why did he say it then? Whether it's on this issue, or choice or taxes, Scott Brown has a disturbing and telling history of saying one thing at one time, and another thing later on. The only thing that's clear is that Scott Brown is not who he says he is."

2. "Shove a curling iron up her butt!" is exactly the stuff you'll read on the "conservative" boards.
You know the ones. The message boards who call out DUers while wishing harm and pain and suffering on anyone and everyone who dares not to be a racist god-fearin' misogynist hater.

38. I site this kind of mindlessness as one of the main reasons
neither side seems to be able to talk to each other. Grow up people, and behave like civil grown ups.

8. Shades of the Town Hall Meetings, eh...
looks like prejudice raises it's head. When people slur and flame a person just because they are female, nothing seems to be said. That's not the way it should be..prejudice is prejudice in any form.

When he claims to be walking around the Southie projects in Boston, not ONCE is he shown talking to someone that isn't LILY-LIVER white.

I mean, you'd think the law of averages would catch up with him, right?

19. This reminds me of the Palin crowds...
Remember them yelling out horrible comments about Obama being a terrorist and "kill him!". It
was disgusting! Of course, since she's dumber than a box of rocks and about as classy as
the cast of Hee Haw--she said nothing.

Same crowd dynamics. Rabid, stupid, full of hate.

Same politician dynamics. Cowardly and idiotic and totally in agreement with a rabid, ignorant crowd of fools.

22. Don't you know where that remark came from?
A politically connected dirtbag raped a two-year old with a HOT curling iron, and Martha Coakley was willing to let him off with a slap on the wrist. It was up to her successor to actual see to it that justice was done for that little girl. I believe the politically connected dirtbag is now serving a couple of life sentences.

30. link please. i googled your accusation and all i found were right wing rags
i could not find any factual information that actually explains all that went on with the case. i would have to know about the actual case, what was brought before her and what was later brought

you accusing her with no information at all doesnt cut it, like it would not in a court of law.

40. Nothing can justify the crude violent remark. Certainly your ugly misrepresentations cannot.
Identifying the perpetrator correctly in child abuse cases can be difficult. In the interests of justice, and to protect other potential victims, it is important to charge the proper party. Evidence must be obtained and evaluated in a context where claims and counterclaims are common

I am personally aware of a case where a daycare worker was charged with sexually abusing an infant. The claim that the daycare worker was responsible for the abuse was leveled by the mother, after the daycare center notified authorities that there was evidence of abuse. The charges against the daycare worker were eventually withdrawn, and the mother's boyfriend was convicted

As an officer of the court, the prosecutor has an obligation to the truth. Coakley has attributed the original failure, to obtain a true bill in the Winfield case, to lack of evidence tying Winfield to the abuse -- and it is, of course, inappropriate to bring charges unless supported by evidence. I don't know whether your claim that "Coakley was willing to let him off with a slap on the wrist" reflects hallucination, mindless echoing of a wingnut talking point, deliberate dishonesty on your your part, or something else -- but it's pure fiction
